Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This policy describes how TP Software (“Foundation,” “we,” “us”) collects and uses information in connection with the Foundation Estimating application at gofoundation.io (the “Service”). The Service is a business tool: most data in it belongs to the organization (our customer) whose workspace you use, and that organization controls it.

2. Information we collect

Account information. Name, email address, and sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk). We do not see or store your password.

Business data you provide. Estimates, proposals, customer names and job-site addresses you enter, item catalogs (including costs and markups), uploaded PDF documents, templates, and organization settings such as your logo.

Connected-service data you authorize. If your organization connects QuickBooks Online, we retrieve accounting transaction data (invoices, bills, journal entries, and similar records) on a read-only basis to produce job-costing reports. We never write to your QuickBooks company. If your organization uses address autocomplete, the text you type in address fields is sent to Google's Places service to return suggestions.

Usage and log data. Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) collected by our hosting infrastructure for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers.

3. How we use information

To provide, secure, and support the Service; to operate features you request (for example, syncing QuickBooks data your admin connected); to communicate service and billing notices; and to improve reliability. We do not sell personal information and we do not use your business data to train machine-learning models.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that host and operate the Service on our behalf, under their own contractual and security obligations:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy continues to apply to previously collected data until updated).

5. Retention and deletion

We retain Customer Data while your organization's account is active. Organization administrators may delete records within the Service, disconnect integrations, or request deletion of the organization's data by contacting us; we honor export requests for 30 days after account termination, after which data may be deleted from production systems in the ordinary course (backups age out on our providers' schedules).

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our hosting providers. Access is controlled through per-user authentication and per-organization isolation, with administrative actions restricted to organization admins. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; notify us immediately of any suspected account compromise.

7. Your choices and rights

You can access and update account information through your account settings, and organization admins control business data within the workspace. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information — contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law (for employees of our customers, we may direct requests to your organization, which controls that data).

8. Cookies

The Service uses cookies solely to keep you signed in and to operate the application. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

9. Children

The Service is for business use and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

We will post updates to this policy here and update the date above; for material changes we will provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-app).
